Dan Aykroyd will be the voice of marine conservation activist group Sea Shepherd in a new documentary. The Hollywood star will narrate a film about the group’s campaigns in the Southern Ocean. The documentary, titled Defend, Conserve, Protect, is currently in production.
"Phytoplankton in the Ocean produces more than 50% of the oxygen in the air we breathe. Islands made of plastics, float around our Oceans, casting shadows over dead marine wildlife all around the globe. Beautiful colorful corals turning grey as the essence of life is eradicated by chemicals, acidification and rising temperatures. In these times, education is critical. Sea Shepherd is launching this indiegogo crowd funding for the making of this amazing movie. If you have seen Whale Wars, The Cove, BlackFish, Cowspiracy, Forks Over Knives that can be life changing movies, you can recognize the value of this production. There is a major disconnect in the world, where the Oceans are not cared for, and protected as they should be, this could determine the fate of humanity." Captain Paul Watson, Founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, wrote on his Facebook personal page.
